You can save up to 32 numbers in a blacklist and also specify whether calls from these numbers are blocked entirely or simply indicated using a visual signal (i.e. without ringing). Anonymous calls from withheld numbers can also be handled this way, so you can choose not to be bothered by nuisance callers. Never miss a thing thanks to the Gigaset E290A with answering machine Stay up to date even when you're not at home. With up to 20 minutes of recording time, the built-in digital answering machine offers plenty of space for important messages and stores the recordings reliably, even in the event of a power failure. If you have new messages, this is indicated both on the handset and on the base station. You can also listen to your messages via the handset or - conveniently at the touch of a button - via the base station. If you are not at home for an extended period of time, simply use the remote access option. ECO DECT for radiation-free calls Like all Gigaset cordless phones, the models in the E290 series are equipped with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology. The phones are radiation-free when in standby mode, even when you're using multiple handsets, provided that the base and all connected handsets support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission power automatically adapts to the distance between the handset and base. The shorter the distance to the base, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, you can disable ECO DECT mode at any time.
