The highly absorbent microporous separator of the maintenance-free FG lead battery binds a maximum amount of pure electrolyte and permanently isolates the electrodes from each other. This means that the battery can be operated in any position, even upside down, without loss of capacity. The electrodes consist of a special antimony-free lead alloy. This results in a very low self-discharge of less than 3% per month.

The robust housing material is an impact-resistant and break-proof as well as corrosion and aging-resistant ABS plastic. FG lead-acid batteries are deep charge-safe, they can be recharged after a deep discharge. In principle, however, it should be recharged immediately after a discharge. Accumulators of the same capacity can be connected in series and in parallel without dividing the charge, but they must always come from the same batch.
